Responsibilities:

* Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs
* Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed
* Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident's behavior, emotional state, or physical condition
* Complete required documentation in a timely manner
* Assist in transporting residents as needed
* Provide companionship to residents
* Ensure the safety of our residents
* Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged
* Maintain a clean and healthy environment

Qualifications:

* Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland
* Must possess a positive and professional attitude
* Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
* Previous experience working in an skilled nursing facility is a plus
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents
* Ability to listen attentively is essential
* Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
* A willingness to navigate changes in assignments
* Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level
