Responsibilities:
As a GI Technician, you will provide critical support and direct assistance during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring a sterile, safe, and efficient environment for patient care.
Every day you will expertly prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians with equipment handling and maintenance, monitor patient comfort, and meticulously clean and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a vigilant, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to successful diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions.
* Cleans and restocks assigned areas.
* Takes initiative to assist co-workers in completing workload and improving work environment.
* Completes additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.
* Actively participates in unit committees/task forces. Allendes 80% of the staff meetings and all mandatory meetings.
* Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling as evidenced by working extra hours in times of increased workload and/or illness or absence of co-worker. Take call if required.
* Ensures That Supplies and equipment are available during procedures.
Qualifications:
Required
* Experience in the field of Gastroenterology
* Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
* Six (6) months recent hospital experience
