Job Title: GCCS-J Administrator (Systems Administrator)
Job Location: Iraq

Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is actively recruiting a GCCS-J Administrator to provide support for GCCS-J systems. This role is responsible for ensuring system availability and efficiency through proper system administration and monitoring. Responsibilities include:

* Provide on-site system administration support and installation/configuration, or assist with installation and configuration, of GCCS-J servers and clients in Iraq and supported sites.
* Propose and evaluate Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products or develop unique solutions (e.g., scripts, business practice re-engineering) to streamline system administration and/or user access to GCCS-J systems.
* Troubleshoot system issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
* Ensure GCCS-J hardware complies with the approved Program of Record (POR) build through proper installation and integration efforts.
* When deviations from standard configurations are necessary to meet mission requirements, obtain approval from the GCCS-J Program Office and follow industry best practices to maintain system security.
* Conduct monthly preventative maintenance at each site, including log monitoring, disk usage analysis, and system backups.
* Monitor systems daily for anomalies such as excessive CPU or disk usage, and slow application performance.
* Support hardware, software, and licenses installed on GCCS-J equipment within the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and United States Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems (US BICES) network enclaves.
* Support includes Joint GCCS-J C2 systems and Army AGM operating systems (e.g., Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Sun Solaris), databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle), and VMware platforms.

Perform the following duties:

* Recommend hardware procurement that meets or exceeds minimum specifications as determined by the responsible Government Program Office.
* Propose rack space designs for servers with appropriate cooling systems.
* Install patches and security updates.
* Build and configure major software releases.
* Rebuild or restore systems in the event of failure or operator error.
* Participate in theater GCCS C4 working groups, the USCENTCOM Command and Control Support Systems Working Group (C2S2WG), GCCS/GCCS-J video teleconferences (VTCs), and other relevant meetings as required by the Government.
* Maintain a responsive GCCS-J support posture, including on-site presence for up to 70 hours per week and 24/7 on-call availability.
* Provide full-scale operations and maintenance (O&M) support, including building, maintaining, administering, updating, and securing systems, servers, applications, and C2-related data and information. 

Qualifications:

* Security Clearance: An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.

* Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems administrator in environments with multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Solaris, Linux, VMware, and Windows.
* At least 5 years of experience operating and maintaining servers in a virtualized environment, in compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) directives and policies.
* Knowledge of directory services, DNS, and IP networking.
* Familiarity with Army Mission Command Essential Capabilities, Joint C2 Systems (GCCS-J), Army Mission Command Systems (CPOF), and Army Unified Capabilities (GCCS-A).
* Knowledge of applicable Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Instructions (CJCSI) and directives relevant to GCCS-J.
* Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
* Certification in a Unix-based operating system such as Solaris or Linux, or a computing environment certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or higher.
