We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Diesel Maintenance Technician. The Diesel Technician will perform preventative maintenance on our medium duty diesel truck and shuttle buses. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.  This position is subject to DOT regulations.

This position is full time working 40hrs/week and is based out of our Service Center Maintenance Facility at the following location:

153 Rainbow Road, East Granby CT 06026

Responsibilities:

* Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines
* Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
* Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections
* Perform in-fleet servicing on new trucks according to required procedures (as needed)
* Perform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain standards
* Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition
* Exhibit a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements
* Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
* Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
* Required to furnish mechanical tools

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
* High School Diploma / G.E.D. required
* Successful completion of a Diesel automotive technical training at an accredited technical or trade school required OR must have a minimum of two years of technical experience in a diesel repair facility servicing current model diesel vehicles
* Must have a minimum of 4 ASE Certifications which includes truck ASE Certifications 
* Must have a current and valid drivers license
* No more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record with in the past 3 years.
* No drug or alcohol related incidents on driving record within the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).
* Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repair responsibilities
* Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment
* Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English
* Must be willing to accept $24.40 per hour
* Apart from religious observances, must be able to work the following schedule:
* Monday 8:30am-5pm
* Tuesday 8:30am-5pm
* Friday 8:30am-5pm
* Saturday 8am-4:30pm
* Sunday 8am-4:30pm

DOT Requirements: 

We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations

* All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
