We're hiring Front Desk Agents to Live. Work. Explore. this summer!

Job Summary:
Warmly welcome guests, manage check-in and check-out processes, and efficiently handle room assignments and reservations using the Opera Property Management System, all while ensuring exceptional service and adherence to safety and environmental practices.

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Starting in May and ending between mid-September and early-October 2026 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $14.65/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40-45 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

* Be the face, smile, and heartbeat of the hotel/motel.
* Part concierge, part problem-solver, part mind-reader (not really, but close).
* Greet and welcome all guests like old friends. 
* Juggle check-ins, check-outs and questions with a smile, and know how to make someone's day just a little better.
* Give outstanding services to the guests during check-in and check-out procedures.
* Ensure guest rooms are assigned, issue room keys, and method of payment is processed through Opera (Property Management System).
* Roll out the red carpet (metaphorically) for every guest who walks through our doors.
* Answer phones with charm, grace, and the ability to pronounce guests' last names.
* Handle guest requests, solve problems, and turn "uh-ohs" into "oh wows."
* Share your insider tips on local attractions, food, hikes, and hidden park gems.
* Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and bell staff.
* Keep the lobby area looking welcoming and assist with anything that makes the guest experience better.
* Be calm, cool, and collected under pressure - even when there is a line at the desk and someone is missing their luggage.
* Maintain knowledge of services and events that are being offered while at property.
* Create, modify, or cancel hotel reservations.
* Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

* Friendly, outgoing personality with a "Yes, absolutely!" attitude.
* Demonstrate strong and excellent communication skills.  
* Ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
* Tech-savvy enough to use front desk software and troubleshoot a guest room key issue.
* Reliability and professionalism - you're on time, organized, and ready to roll  
* Passion for people and love of hospitality
* Must be flexible and adaptable to different changes and have good decision-making skills.
* Requires strong computer skills to operate Opera Property Management Software (PMS).
* Knowledge of basic math skills.
*  Must exhibit outstanding organization and time management skills, goal oriented, and comfortable working in pressure situations. 
* Must be flexible with variating work schedule between Day and Evening shifts. May be required to work a night shift, based on business and staffing needs.

Experience: 

* Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a big plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements include:

* Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
* Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
* Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift.
* Working safely with required chemicals.
