The Catholic Health Initiatives Colorado Foundation (CHICF) has launched a major initiative to maximize philanthropic opportunities in Colorado. This initiative seeks to engage major philanthropists in Colorado and throughout the country to transform health care and create healthier communities. These efforts are focusing on a sales-based approach to fundraising, with the development support role often being the first member of the CHICF team that many people in the community will meet. This associate will provide sales and office support to the SSOG foundation team, from supporting events, processing gifts, and stewarding donors, to managing the day-to-day activities at the office.

This position requires someone who jumps in whenever needed and gets things done, someone who is proactive, can work with little direction, possesses a can-do attitude and is comfortable talking to anyone on the phone. This role is about being an ambassador for the foundation across the organization, and partnering with the foundation team to achieve results together. This position will be based at a hospital, and will report to a member of the development team.

* Design and maintain procedures, training manuals and documentation for staff use of the database.
* Accurately process donations received, according to IRS regulations and Foundation standards.
* Design and maintain procedures, training manuals and documentation for Gift Processing.
* Create donor gift acknowledgment letters in a timely manner processes.
* Assist with memorable experiences/special events, including fundraising dinners.
* Administer accounts payable and check requests. Grant check processing for Grants Manager. 
* Manage Employee Financial and Associate Financial assistance Process.
* Manage front desk including phones, deliveries and public contact.
* Ensure compliance with data retention policies.
* Update donation pages, send email blasts, update website, and work collaboratively with Information Technology.
* Other duties assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Associates degree preferred
* Strong ability with Microsoft Office suite.
* Proficiency with database systems, such as Raisers Edge.
* Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
* Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
