Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position will oversee total food service operations, including ordering, planning menus, staffing, and adherence to specialized diets. The Food Service Manager will ensure that all orders are placed for the week, following the cycle, as well as ensure that all daily meals are calculated to make sure that the weekly meal cost is as accurate as possible. They will work closely with the medical department, the Dietician, and other personnel to make sure diets are established, maintained, and comply with daily allowances. The Food Service Manager will work with their immediate supervisor regarding requests for off-campus school-related activities to ensure mutual agreement. They will be responsible for any problems that may arise within the kitchen/dining area and to ensure that a reasonable solution that satisfies both parties has been worked out. The Food Service Manager will be responsible for seeing that State Board of Health regulations are strictly enforced.

Salary: $66,446.42 - $71,097.66 (commensurate with education and experience)

Qualifications:

Education: Two (2) years education in a related food service program.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience preferably in an institutional setting.

Physical Requirements: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 25 lbs or more.
