Food Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Food Production Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate teams, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Oversee and coordinate second-shift production to meet schedules and customer demand * Lead, train, and support production staff to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards * Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, OSHA) * Monitor production performance, track metrics, and identify areas for improvement * Partner with Quality Assurance to quickly resolve any product or process issues * Ensure equipment is operating properly; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance * Maintain accurate production and shift reports * Collaborate with first-shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions * Troubleshoot operational challenges including staffing, delays, and quality concerns Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred * 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory role * Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OSHA standards preferred * Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to build teams and manage conflict effectively * Bilingual skills are a plus * Must be eligible to obtain a boiler operation license Physical Requirements & Work Environment * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs * Comfortable working around machinery and in varying temperatures (heat, steam, cold) * Exposure to food production environments, including dust and allergens PGI Foods is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
