Job Summary: The Fire Brigade Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing an all-hazards emergency response team within the production facility. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, develops and implements fire safety strategies, leads fire response teams, and coordinates emergency preparedness initiatives to protect personnel, property, and organizational resiliency. The Fire Brigade Supervisor plays a key role in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and business continuity by coordinating emergency response efforts, training personnel, and maintaining state-of-the-art firefighting and life safety equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and effectively builds professional relationships to support the facility's emergency preparedness and response objectives.

Essential Duties:

Fire Safety Program Development & Compliance:

* Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive fire safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other relevant fire safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of fire incidents, training activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance reports.
* Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits conducted by regulatory agencies.
* Liaise with fire departments, regulatory agencies, and corporate safety teams to ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Mitigation:

* Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address fire hazards associated with facility operations, including the storage and handling of flammable materials.

Emergency Response & Incident Management:

* Direct and oversee all fire brigade activities during emergencies, including fire suppression, emergency medical response, hazmat events, evacuation, and coordination with external emergency services.
* Develop and manage response plans for fire, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergencies specific to the production environment.
* Act as the liaison between the fire brigade, facility leadership, and external agencies during crisis situations.
* Participate in investigations into fire-related incidents, including root cause analysis and recommendations for preventing recurrence.

Training & Readiness:

* Lead, supervise, and train the on-site fire brigade, ensuring team readiness for rapid and effective emergency response.
* Develop and deliver training programs for fire brigade personnel, production staff, and contractors on fire safety, evacuation procedures, and emergency response.
* Ensure team certifications and qualifications remain current and meet regulatory standards.
* Conduct regular fire drills and emergency response exercises to enhance preparedness and response effectiveness.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

* To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees', wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator for extended periods of time. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications:

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred:

Education:

* Required: High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
* Preferred: Fire Science or equivalent BS Degree.

Essential Qualifications

* Minimum of 5 years of relevant firefighting experience.
* Capable of performing multiple tasks at various levels of complexity.
* Demonstrated leadership skills / experience.
* Emergency response experience. 
* FEMA 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses.
* FEMA Professional Series (ability to complete within 6 months of hire).
* Fire Suppression & Prevention - Knowledge of firefighting tactics, and fire behavior
* Knowledge and experience with Incident Command System (ICS) principals 
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 to include Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point (+other programs as required).
* Self-Motivated / Team oriented.
* Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Industrial Firefighting Experience. 
* Manufacturing Operations Experience.
* Thorough working understanding of OSHA 1910 standards and regulations.

Preferred Certification(s):

* CPR Certification
* Firefighter 1 Certification
* Confined Space Rescue Certification or experience
* Fire Officer 1 Certification
* Hazmat Technician Certification or experience
