Overview:
The Record to Report S4 Lead for the Greater China Region will be responsible for supporting a major SAP S/4 HANA upgrade program supporting the Director of Finance Transformation. This role requires a seasoned Finance professional with experience and a deep understanding of GAAP & local statutory accounting, the record to report process as well and Financial Planning and Analysis. The ideal candidate will also have experience with ERP rollouts and has been part of an ERP implementation in the past.
Responsibilities:
Participate in S4 Design Phase as subject matter expert for record to report (RTR) and Financial planning and Analysis (FP&A) including reporting.
Participate in Design sessions (functional and cross functional), develop requirements based on industry best practices, review and approve designs for area of expertise
Participate in S4 Testing Phase Activities: Develop test scripts, prepare test sample data, conduct tests, review/approve test results (automated and manual tests)
Participate in S4 Data Mapping Activities: Participate in data modeling design sessions (Align data requirements, policies with process design and business needs);
Review and approve data transfer scripts, review, and approve results
Participate in S4 Change Management Activities: Act as a change agent for area of expertise
Design and develop training materials and act as train the trainer for area of expertise
Participate in S4 Hypercare: Support S4 program post go-live. Support critical escalations and develop continuous improvement roadmap for future releases
Act as the primary point of contact for all S4 implementation matters related to record to report for Greater China
Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance
Experience:
At least five years' work experience in an enterprise environment
Successfully participated in an S4 implementation and/or have at least 3 years of experience in working within the record to report process in SAP environment.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization including managing through cross-business area or business unit prioritization discussions
Expert understanding of the record to report process
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and SAP
Ability to travel and attend meeting during US and Europe timezone
Fluent English is required
