What You Will Do Under minimum supervision, you will prepare, reconcile, and analyze financial information, develop new processes and procedures, and provide management with accurate data for decision-making. This role requires expertise in accounting/financial practices, a deep understanding of retail banking operations, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial statements effectively. Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions * Account Reconciliations and Analyses Perform account reconciliations and provide in-depth financial analyses to support retail banking functions. * Process Improvement Design, recommend, and implement ongoing improvements in accounting processes specific to retail banking. * Special Projects Take the lead on ad hoc analyses and special projects, addressing unique challenges within the retail banking space. * Problem Solving Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in accounting or financial processes related to branch operations. * Variance Analysis Analyze financial reports, research variances, and identify trends impacting branch performance. * Budget Assistance Develop spreadsheets, projections, and tools to assist in annual and quarterly budget processes. Qualifications: Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. * 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in retail banking or a related environment. Required Knowledge: * Expertise in financial/accounting practices with a focus on retail banking operations. * Strong technical skills in financial systems (SAP, ERP systems) and proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Skills and Abilities: * Ability to import, format, and analyze large datasets from various sources. * Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills. * Strong communication skills to present analyses effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy. * Experience working collaboratively across departments to meet business goals.
