Overview: Shift: Full-Time, Days, Monday - Friday, for 80 hours per pay period (40 hours/week) As a Financial Analyst Sr, you will be responsible for supporting the operational leaders in the area of finance. Specific areas of support include preparing the annual budget, interpreting financial results, and preparing financial analysis. Responsibilities: * Coordinate development of annual capital and operating budgets, including multi-year projections and forecasts. * Review financial data and perform research, analysis and interpretation of the results. * Prepare and distribute internal reports and special requested reports ensuring the reports contain accurate financial, cost or budget data. * Prepare analysis of various revenue and expense information to aid budgetary efforts, decision making or operational improvement initiatives. * Prepare routine and ad hoc financial analyses to assist operations management in successful financial performance and development of strategic plans. * Develop financial projections and assist with business plans for continued assessment of locations, services and lines of business. * Provide assistance and education on financial concepts and the use of financial systems to the management team * Maintain subsidiary budget system * Main point of contact for financial reporting in patient systems, and be able to run regular and ad-hoc reports * Maintain solid understanding of provider compensation plans and how they impact financial results and reporting * Collaborate with other UPH Finance, Analytic and Accounting teams as needed * Provide status reports on a regular basis for assigned projects. * Completes special projects and reports as assigned. Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting * Must have 1 year of experience with various computer software applications utilizing spreadsheets, manipulating data and querying databases Other: * Strong computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software applications * Requires highly developed communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates * Ability to be very detail orientated with the ability to manage incoming requests and provide reliable and timely responses * Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgement. Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
