Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst to support our Health and Civilian Sector. This position will be hybrid with a minimum of 2 days on-site.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have excellent finance acumen and proven leadership skills to build strong relationships with business unit executives, program managers and corporate department leads. Typical day-to-day activities include
* Partner with Division VP and program team to provide analysis and guidance that supports informed decision-making and opportunities to improve financial performance across the organization.
* Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the portfolio of programs and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
* Responsible for working with key stakeholder in creating the Division annual budget.
* Maintain and monitor program forecasts, highlight drivers, expose risks and opportunities to achieving or exceed financial targets.
* Support all aspects of program financial management and reporting, interfacing with Program Management, Contracts, Accounting and Project Setup teams to ensure projects are within negotiated parameters and funded levels.
* Support the Program Management Team and the Contract Vehicle PMO group by providing advanced financial planning, reporting, and execution of contract deliverables, subcontractor management, and invoicing.
* Understand and explain key drivers of actual results against Budget and Forecast for various contract types (FFP, T&M, LOE and Cost type)
* Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis and corporate submission.
* Support Monthly Accounting Close activities to include cost accruals, revenue and profit review and analysis, invoice review and approval, and indirect expense review.
* Proactively Identify corrective actions needed and work with Accounting staff to ensure business unit Profit & Loss accurately reflect financial performance.
* Monitor business unit A/R (invoicing and aged receivables) and work with PMs and Billing to minimize Days Sales Outstanding.
* Support Finance Manager and VP with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc requirements.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
* Must be fluent in MS Excel
* Because the role is unique in that it provides support to multiple levels of stakeholders across sectors, the candidate must demonstrate critical thinking and creative problem-solving using an analytically driven approach.
* The successful candidate will be independent and self-motivated, with strong communication skills and the ability to distill and convey complex financial information in an easily understandable format for various stakeholders.
* The ability to interpret, combine, and analyze data from multiple sources.
* The ability to balance competing priorities in support of both internal corporate and external programmatic functions, while maintaining strong relationships and effectively meeting deadlines
* Capable of obtaining a security clearance.
