Responsibilities:
* Develops and interprets complex financial models to provide executive management and senior leadership with the information needed to make strategic decisions.
* Participates in strategic projects and initiatives, often cross-functional and across multiple geographies.
* Completes analysis on operations specific aspects of the finance operating cycle (Cost of Sales, Other Cost of Sales, and Inventory) and other manufacturing topics to provide meaningful insight into the company's financial performance and make recommendations to MissionOps leaders.
* Assists in developing the company's long-range and annual plans
* Works with global finance teams to design and implement best practices to streamline processes and provide data-driven insights to business leaders.
* Prepares and delivers presentations to varied internal audiences; effectively communicates financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
* Utilizes MSA's Business System to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or related discipline.
* Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP financial statements with strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking skills.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment with thorough understanding of manufacturing related finance and accounting topics.
* Intellectual curiosity and business acumen (not just reporting the numbers, but desire to understand them and assist the MissionOps FP&A Leader in helping drive performance).
* Strong work ethic with a positive continuous improvement mindset.
* Strong quantitative abilities, process oriented and attention to detail combined with ability to understand the bigger picture.
* Experience leading or helping lead projects and strategic initiatives related to return on investments (ROI).
This position is available at multiple different career levels based upon experience, education, etc:
* Intermediate I: 2 years of relevant experience.
* Intermediate II: 2-4 years of relevant experience plus working towards CPA/CFA certification.
* Senior I: 4 or more years of accounting experience. CPA/CFA required. MBA preferred.
* Senior II: 4-6 or more years of accounting experience required. CPA/CFA required. MBA preferred.
