Responsibilities:
This Financial Analyst will be a key member of the team providing strategic decision support for the DISH and Sling brands. You will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis for strategic projects, improving subscriber profitability, and delivering insights that guide the long-term strategy and day-to-day decisions for Video Services organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to track and forecast revenue, expenses, and key subscriber metrics, supporting the annual budget and long-range planning process
* Performance Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, KPI scorecards, and variance analyses to leadership, interpreting financial data to provide key insights into business performance
* Strategic Business Partnership: Work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to provide business insights and make data-driven recommendations to improve financial results
* Leadership Presentation: Prepare compelling presentations and supporting materials that summarize complex concepts for senior leadership, the CFO, and the Board of Directors
* Ad-Hoc & Project Analysis: Conduct special project financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and other critical business priorities
* Process Improvement: Take the initiative to challenge current processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve the efficiency and quality of deliverables
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
* 0 - 4 years of experience in a related field such as financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting is preferred, but not required
Skills and Qualifications:
* Analytical Mindset: A high level of intellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to seek and collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and strike the right balance between detail orientation and the big picture
* Communication: Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with a proven ability to summarize complex ideas into understandable and easy-to-follow materials for leadership
* Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to establish productive working relationships with business partners and personnel across the enterprise
* Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and financial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, OneStream, Hyperion) is a plus
* Work Ethic: Results-driven and proactive, with the flexibility and sense of urgency to manage tight deadlines, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment
