Responsibilities: A Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. They are expected to demonstrate the appropriate competency in both core and functional areas, listed below. Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values, patient/customer focus, taking ownership, health care knowledge, teamwork, clinical performance improvement, service excellence, decision making and critical thinking, and patient safety. Qualifications: Education and Experience Associate Of Nursing Must Be a graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program. Required Bachelors Of Nursing Masters Of Nursing Preferred Licensure and Certifications Required Registered Nurse: TN/GA depending on state of employment Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) American Heart Association upon hire Required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 120 Days Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 Days Preferred
