Responsibilities:
Sign-on bonus available, for qualifying RN's!
* Deliver professional nursing services and quality patient care in compliance with Franciscan Health System (VMFH) standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to develop, implement, and assess the patient plan of care.
* Provide direct patient care, which includes assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating tasks to the patient care team.
* Educate and consult with patients, families, physicians, and staff regarding appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient outcomes.
* Utilize independent judgment and critical thinking skills to make decisions within the scope of practice, maintaining accountability for the quality of care provided.
* Serve as the primary Registered Nurse providing care to post-partum women and normal newborns admitted to the unit.
Qualifications:
* Associates Of Science Nursing
* RN License: WA State
* Basic Life Support - CPR, through the American Heart Association
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months
* 1-2 years Med-Surg RN experience, with completion of a Mother/Baby education program
Preferred
* Bachelors Of Science Nursing, upon hire
* Previous Mother/Baby experience
* One year of nursing experience, in an acute care setting
