Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of soups, meats, vegetables, and other food items for consumption in our steakhouse restaurant.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Able to perform fine dining and ethnic a la minute preparations
- Possesses advanced knife skills and kitchen equipment skills
- Has complete understanding of server and front of the house interaction to expedite food for guests
- Able to follow intricate recipes
- Communicates ingredient needs to supervisor
- Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked
- Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service
- Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff
- Work within the quality control guidelines established by Penn National Gaming and Hollywood Casino Aurora
- Demonstrate an ability and commitment to deliver quality guest service to external and internal guests
- Follow all safety rules
- Adhere to departmental quality standards
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years of age
- HS Degree or equivalent work experience related to the nature of the position
