Responsibilities:

General Accountabilities: 

* Responsible for the operations and maintenance of equipment to provide utilities such as light, heating, air conditioning, and room maintenance. 
* Schedules inspections and maintenance on equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. 

* Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the building as directed by a supervisor. 
* Ensures adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.  
* Performs minor structural repairs including sheet rock, doors, trim, and plumbing. 
* Reports inventories and work schedules to maintenance supervisor every day.  
* Maintains engineering for HVAC, ductwork, piping, plumbing, and fire protection. 

* Reviews assigned work orders and determines work priorities. 
* Installs machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations. 
* Repairs, rods, cleans, adjusts, and removes plumbing fixtures, line vents, and/or drains as needed, to ensure proper operation and sanitation. 
* Makes minor electrical repairs, including but not limited to repair and replacement of outlets, light fixtures, and equipment; ensures adequate lighting in all areas by replacing lights as needed. Fabricates, repairs, and maintains mechanical devices, motors, and pumps; performs painting, carpentry, and upholstery work as required. 
* Installs and maintains all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, and carpet tiles. 

* Performs preventive maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis. 

Qualifications:

Qualifications: 

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Minimum of three to five years of experience in mechanics preferred. 

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and direct activities of hotel maintenance mechanics.  
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.  
* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift throughout duration of shift. 
* Excel both independently and as part of a team.  
* Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.  

* Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
