Responsibilities:
The Facility Shift Manager is responsible for providing direct and general supervision to the engineering team to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing services and general facility conditions, including facility and restaurant equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
* Manage the daily operations of the department responsible for general maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
* Ensure daily HOTSOS work orders are assigned, updated, and completed appropriately. Communicate effectively with all departments on work order status and inspect projects after completion.
* Deliver exceptional internal and external guest service and always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members.
* Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives.
* Schedule projects and preventative maintenance.
* Maintain and monitor inventory of all necessary parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance and reorder as needed.
* Conduct a daily inspection of the property to ensure that it is clean, attractive and fully functional. Implement immediate remediation of problems.
* Establish a specified training program for each classification up to and including Department Leads, developing all team members to their fullest potential.
* Be constantly alert for newer methods, techniques, equipment, and materials that will improve the overall operation.
* Communicate regularly with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevator, landscaping, and various other vendors to schedule emergency repairs and ensure contractual obligations are met.
* Ensure team member engagement is maintained at a high level.
* Lead all aspects of team member relations including, but not limited to, hiring, coaching, recognizing, and evaluating team members.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through an associate degree in facilities management or related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience managing a multifunctional maintenance facility and staff, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
* Facilities maintenance experience: 5 years & Facilities management experience: 1 year
* Strong communication and customer service skills. Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
* Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Carpentry trades, along with knowledge of generators, fire pumps, and electrical switchgears; trade license is preferred
* Must be willing to work varied shifts to accommodate business demands.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other similar computer applications
* Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
* Ability to effectively present information, write reports and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret building plans and blueprints.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license.
Shift Hours Day/Swing: 10am-6pm or 11m7pm; Days off Sun/Mon
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for team member development, coaching, training, and recognition programs.
* Evaluate team members and leads within department and deliver constructive feedback related to performance.
* Determine recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
* Determine work procedures and expedite workflow.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
* Ensure regulatory compliance requirements and OSHA standards are followed at all times.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Can effectively communicate with team members and guests in English (speak, read & write).
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
