From securing our campuses to making sure our events go off without a hitch, Facilities is the human face of our company's well-oiled onsite operation.
Responsibilities:
Our Integrated Security team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex security solutions for EchoStar. As a Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing installations according to plans provided by our Project Managers.
A typical day could see you working on a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, patching server software, on a man-lift installing a camera, installing a badge reader, or providing service coordination for a remote facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, IP Cameras, and intrusion alarm systems
* Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
* Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation
* Technician 24-hour on-call rotation
* Travel is required on an as-needed basis, typically 10%-15% but can fluctuate
Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:
* Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) is required
* Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred
* Programming experience preferred
* Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred (ie. AMAG, Axis, Milestone, Bosch, etc.)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Valid Driver's License and clean record
* Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
