				Overview:

This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks that include the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities, assisting with various facility improvement projects, and providing appropriate support to Facilities Maintenance Technician I.

Responsibilities:

* Assists with routine building inspections to make sure equipment and systems are operating efficiently
* Documents and responds to work order requests for repairs and maintenance as assigned to resolve issues in a timely manner
* Diagnoses, repairs, and performs skilled maintenance tasks to equipment such as air compressors, cooling towers, HVAC units, generator, plumbing, sewer, lighting, perimeter fencing, and other facility equipment as assigned by the facilities manager
* Transports materials and equipment to and from work areas using powered industrial equipment
* Leads or collaborates on facility improvement and renovation projects

Performs service on ceiling height utilities including working from scissor lift equipment

Completes installation of new equipment or systems as needed

* Facilitates sustainment of office areas
* Assists in the production areas including, but not limited to, painting, installing, cleaning, or operating floor sweeper/scrubber
* Collaborates with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment
* Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the shop area, work areas, and other assigned portions of the plant 
* Cleans machines, facility infrastructure, and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, and/or other appropriate supplies and equipment
* Assists electricians with preparing and installing conduit, wire, and cabling
* Monitors contractor progress on projects and completion of work as assigned
* Tends to emergency repairs and coordinates repairs with outside service providers, as needed
* Adheres to budgetary guidelines to ensure efficient use of resources
* Ensures compliance with OSHA & other relevant regulations and maintains appropriate documentation
* Assists in ensuring areas are properly prepared for meetings and events
* Conducts routine building inspections to make sure equipment and systems operate efficiently
* Provides recommendations for materials or modifications needed to maintain performance based on existing conditions
* Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

* Ability to work in a team with different levels and functions of employees
* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
* Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently
* Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as aerial lifts and forklifts with proper training
* Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
* Ability to interpret gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
* Ability to determine causes of operating errors and making corrective action
* Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the benefits and risks of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
* Ability to use common hand and power tools
* Ability to provide guidance to other technicians as assigned
* Ability to work with external resources to return utility equipment to service in a timely manner
* Ability to use logic to solve complex problems
* Ability to use complex construction and industrial equipment with proper training
* Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance is preferred
* Ability to communicate in verbal and written English

* Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling
* Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
* Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

* Hearing Protection must be worn in marked areas - 29 CFR 1910.95
* Eye Protection must be worn in marked areas - 29 CFR 1910.133
* For persons wearing prescription glasses that are or will be worn as safety glasses, the glasses must be ANSI Z87+ approved
* Steel-Toed Shoes must be worn in marked areas - 29 CFR 1910.136
