Responsibilities: Nova Space Solutions (NSS) is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our PLM group within the Engineering Services Department team at NASA John C. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi and NASA Michoud Assembly Facility, Louisiana. Fire Protection Engineer, which resides in the COSMIC Design Engineering Department, is responsible for maintaining fire protection design control and providing technical support. Work Model: Onsite Qualifications: Essential Duties & Job Functions: * Creating, checking, or otherwise preparing design documentation related to fire protection and other related systems. Design documentation includes: o Statements of Work o Construction Specifications o Drawings o Engineering Studies o Life Cycle Cost Analysis o Other Engineering Documents as Requested * Estimating probable cost of construction for assigned design projects. * Assisting in the preparation and estimating of design project budgets and schedules and providing deliverables to the customer within said budgets and schedules. * Peer reviewing design projects prepared by other engineers within the department. * Maintain a regular work schedule. * Other duties as assigned.
