				Overview:

Part of the FEMA Public Assistance Program Under Prime Contractor Fluor Government Group. This position has very specific requirements.  Please read them carefully.

Responsibilities:

Part of the Fluor Public Assistance Program, The insurance specialist must be highly experienced in all aspects of commercial insurance. The specialist must have the ability to multi-task by interpreting and applying the applicants insurance policies (specifically NFIP) to ensure that duplication of benefits do not exist on the insurable properties and be able to perform quality control assurance eligibility reviews on numerous projects. The specialist must have a background and experience in calculating insurance apportionments and have experience on large projects encompassing multiple facility and insurance policies with large policy limits.

* Determining the amount of actual or estimated insurance proceeds for the work.
* Ensuring there is no duplication of benefits in grant funding that is provided by insurance coverage.
* Determining future insurance requirements for the damaged facility.
* Determining any National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements.
* Reviewing requests to modify insurance requirements.
* Must be able to interpret commercial policies
* Payment is contingent upon client, deployment type and location.
* Identifying additional information needed

Qualifications:

Requirements -

First Level Insurance Specialist- Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with 2 years in a documented insurance specialist role involving commercial claims or government insurance AND be NFIP certified.

Second Level Insurance Specialist- Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with 5 years in a documented insurance specialist role involving commercial claims or government insurance AND be NFIP certified. OR 10 years above field of expertise and be NFIP certified.

Third Level Insurance Specialist- Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with 10 years in a documented insurance specialist role involving commercial claims or government insurance AND be NFIP certified OR 15 years in above field of expertise and be NFIP certified.

* Detailed Resume is required that must correspond to work history answered in the screening questions.
* Subject to DHS / FEMA Background check in which some dis-qualifiers may include, but are not limited to: felony conviction, back taxes, bankruptcy, DUI, back owed child support, bad credit.
* Excellent customer service and computer skills. Proficient MS office suite: Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Comfortable using web-based programs.
* Must commit to a 3-12-month assignment.
* 10-12 hours a day for extended periods of time.
* Must mobilize within 24-48 hours of assignment.
