				Overview:

Part of the FEMA Public Assistance Program Under Prime Contractor Fluor Government Group. These positions have very specific requirements. Please read them carefully.

As Part of the Fluor Public Assistance Program, the following positions are needed:

* Civil Engineers
* Electrical Engineers
* Mechanical Engineers
* Structural Engineers

Responsibilities:

Will require site inspections on sites with major damage including destroyed facilities; facilities with extensive damage; facilities with significant damage to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components to document disaster-related damage.

Public Assistance engineers will work closely with FEMA and local government officials to provide supplemental disaster grant assistance for the repair, replacement, and restoration of disaster-damaged, public owned facilities. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to site damage inspections, cost estimate and scope of work development, exploratory calls and recovery scoping meetings, project reviews and validation, review and determination of hazard mitigation requirements, and environmental & historic preservation reviews and guidance.

Requirements

Second Level - Educational requirements Undergraduate degree with 5 years in field of expertise and professional registration OR 10 years in field of expertise 

Third Level - Educational requirements Undergraduate degree with 10 years in field of expertise and professional registration OR 15 years in field of expertise 

In addition to the requirements above, candidates must:

* Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a DHS/FEMA background check to obtain a FEMA contractor badge (bankruptcy, owed back taxes, multiple DUI's, delinquent child support, a felony and poor credit could possibly deem you as "unfavorable for badging")
* Have excellent communication skills
* Proficient with MS Office products; high level of proficiency with MS Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, etc.) Word and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to prepare clear, concise spreadsheets and reports
* Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours
* Able to commit to a 12+ month assignment
* Willing to work initially 10 - 12 hours per day, 6 - 7 days per week and be flexible to change

Preferred but not required experience:

* Professional licenses and certifications such as Professional Engineer license are a plus.

* Experience in grant applications and processing
