Overview:
The Engineer I performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to minor facility repair, maintaining the facilities in a safe and reliable condition, maintaining equipment in a safe and reliable condition, assembly, and installation. Ensures that all facilities, properties, and services functions operate effectively and efficiently.
Position Reports To: Engineering Supervisor
Responsibilities:
* Communicates and coordinates on a daily basis with Engineering Services personnel and other department personnel.
* Inspects facility equipment and systems.
* Documents work order status in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Repairs electrical and mechanical devices, equipment and systems.
* Performs preventative maintenance on facility and support equipment.
* Services and repairs plumbing systems and equipment.
* Assures that the organization vehicles are properly maintained and regularly serviced.
* Assembles and does minor repairs to concrete, block and drywall systems, such as paint, patch, and drywall remediation.
* Shares responsibility with the other engineers for maintaining established spare parts, tools and material needs.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
* High school / GED.
* Two years general maintenance experience and/or equivalent education.
* Experience reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical and shop drawings, writing diagrams and schematics.
* Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication and password management.
Desired:
* Healthcare facility experience.
* BOC Building Operator Certification.
