Overview:
As an Extrusion Operator you must be able to proficiently operate an extrusion machine, let-off, and take-up. Operators could also be responsible for running multiple machines in a single line and any other piece of equipment that is required in the assigned extrusion area. Average paid training program is 12-15 weeks in length.
Starting pay of $22.00 and up based on experience. Shift premium of $1.75 for working 3rd shift.
Desirable shift schedules! 12-hour workdays on 3rd shift (6:55 pm - 7 am).
* Week 1: 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on
* Week 2: 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off
Responsibilities:
* Safely sets-up, takes-apart, operates, and maintains cleanliness of any assigned piece(s) of equipment.
* Ability to understand all shop floor documents that are necessary to operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
* Ability to maintain and complete all required documentation in the manufacturing of the product.
* Perform all required quality control checks and inspections on assigned product lines.
* Assist in other areas of the cable manufacturing operations as needed.
Qualifications:
* Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents provided to operator machines printed in English.
* Basic math skills, required
* Ability to operate a computer, required
* Ability to communicate effectively with various employees throughout the facility
* Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor
