Overview: Patient Service Representative - Medical Office Front Desk - Family Medicine - Eagle Grove, IA Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5pm w/ half day off every week (36 hours per week and every 4th Saturday from 8a-12p) As an Experience Specialist/Receptionist, you are the first person to greet patients as they walk into our clinics. Primary duties will include checking-in patients, assisting with scheduling, answering phones, processing co-payments and follow up appointments as needed. Customer service, empathy and compassion are the biggest assets in this position. Responsibilities: * Provide a professional, welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering information on services and procedures. * Keep patients and families informed about wait times, provider availability, and any delays. * Address general inquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating complex issues as needed. * Offer guidance on charges, payment processes, and insurance procedures. * Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. * Answer and route incoming calls, providing basic information as appropriate. * Ensure all interactions and data handling follow confidentiality and UPH standards. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required * 1+ year of customer service or front desk experience preferred (healthcare setting is a plus) * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Basic proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and scheduling platforms * Professional appearance and demeanor
