The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Exhibits Manager for Science Meetings Operations in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas.
In the role, you will be responsible for organizing and managing exhibitor participation, logistical operations, marketing, sales, and development of the exhibit hall at the assigned conferences. Responsible for increasing exhibitor generated revenue at American Heart Association meetings and enhancing both the exhibitor and attendee experience within the exhibit hall. Responsible for generating revenue of $1 million and oversight of budgetary expenditures of $650,000.

Responsibilities:
* Expand and oversee exhibitor participation, logistics, marketing and planning all exhibit planning for American Heart Association Specialty Conferences including International Stroke Conference to grow and increase revenue for these meetings. Conferences include both in person and virtual components.
* Ensure production and completion of overall exhibit processes, marketing pieces, web services, exhibitor registration for such related conferences. Prepares and distributes materials and sales collateral for both attendees and exhibitors.
* Design and execute meaningful in-person and virtual exhibitor events at symposia, forums, or national meetings leading to key stakeholder satisfaction.
* Manage American Heart Association booth presence at conferences throughout the year. Oversee booth design, set-up and representation schedule.
* Negotiate and review exhibitor contracts and oversee production of agreed upon services

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience
* Three (3) years of experience in sales, conventions, exhibitor marketing or related area (4 years preferred)
* Three (3) years of experience in mid- to large-scale event planning both in-person and virtual
* Three (3) years of experience leading project teams and project development or implementation
* Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of medical and/or industry meeting/tradeshow planning
* Proficient in procurement procedures, vendor management, contract review or negotiation
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers, internal and external clients and vendors
* Excellent written and oral communication required
* Ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently. Must be able to manage time efficiently and prioritize to meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
* Two (2) years of experience in exhibit or trade show management
* Meeting management, exhibit or similar certification
