Responsibilities:

The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The incumbent should use critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. 

The incumbent collaborates with members of the healthcare team, provides leadership, personal/professional development, and conducts him/herself professionally. The incumbent coordinates with the RN for facilitating the routine operations of the cardiac rehabilitation program. The incumbent is also responsible for initial exercise prescriptions of patients and ongoing assessment/adjustment throughout the recovery process.

* Assists with patient intake by performing the EKG assessment as well as the gym orientation. May also assist with BP readings and taking vital signs (SPO2, HR, BORG RPE, and calculate patient THR) as needed.

Qualifications:

Required

* Bachelors Other in exercise physiology,physical education or related field
* 1 year recent experience in CardiacRehab 
* Basic Life Support - CPR, 

Preferred

* Certified Clin Exer Physiologist
