The Executive Security Officer/Driver provides secure transportation and close protection of Executives as they are escorted in a company vehicle to and from destinations directly related to business functions in a comfortable, safe, and efficient manner. This role proactively plans necessary security measures to maintain safe transportations and environments. This role serves as a Security officer and Executive protection for the Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities: A day in the life of an Executive Security Officer/Driver at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: * Ensures safe, secure and timely transport of Executives with strong situational awareness and problem-solving abilities. * Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and the highest level of integrity while operating in dynamic and sensitive environments * Provides personal protection by assessing potential security risks and implementing protective measures. * Maintains a clean and mechanically sound vehicle for secure transportation. Reports any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents promptly and accurately. * Possesses advanced defensive driving skills to avoid potential threats, accidents, or hazards. * Conducts thorough advance planning to identify potential security threats and establish security protocols, including route planning, security sweeps, and emergency response procedures. * Physically escorts and protects Executives during daily activities, such as meetings, travel, and public appearances. * Applies surveillance and counter-surveillance techniques to ensure safety of Executives. Monitors all environments for potential threats, suspicious activity, or individuals who may pose a risk to the client's safety. Conducts patrols, walkthrough, risk assessments as needed. * Ensures preparedness to respond to security incidents and emergencies, including medical emergencies, security breaches, or hostile encounters. * Plans and analyzes routes to minimize exposure to potential risks. * Maintains knowledge of alternate routes and traffic conditions. * Maintains effective communication with the Leaders, schedule coordinator and team members to ensure smooth operations and security coordination. * Keeps the vehicle stocked with essential items, such as first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency tools. * Stays informed about potential security risks and developments that may affect the CEO or other senior executives. * Follows established security procedures, company policies, and relevant regulations. * Other duties and/or projects as assigned. * Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in executive protection. * Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in defensive driving or executive protection driving. * Excellent physical fitness and firearms proficiency, if applicable. * Discretion and the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with people. * Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. * Ability to remain calm and composed under high-stress situations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics. * Good grooming and personal hygiene with clean and proper dress as instructed are expected. * High integrity, discretion, flexibility, and reliability. * Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on executive schedules and travel needs. * Be trained and authorized to carry concealed firearms and ensure compliance with all local and state laws regarding firearms. * Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. * 10 + years of related experience.
