Overview: A 64-bed adult psychiatric facility, Lasting Hope Recovery Center is a place of healing. All of the rooms are private. At Lasting Hope Recovery Center, patients find comfort and a team of caring professionals working for them. Often, mental illness and substance abuse occur at the same time. CHI Health Lasting Hope Recovery Center offers an entire range of treatment and prevention services to meet the needs of patients experiencing both challenges. Treatment is built on personal strengths and support systems that treat individuals experiencing these illnesses. Responsibilities: As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) at CHI Health, you'll join a team of EVS techs who prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and visitors by ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for all. To be successful in this role, you'll need to understand the importance of why and how we sanitize and disinfect different environments. You are in total control of your space- where process and supplies matter. You appreciate the cleanliness of our hospital, and it is a direct reflection of how we care for the people in our community. We provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep you safe and while you're providing that same level of safety to others. Everyday you will be expected to: 1. Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures. 2. Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner. 3. Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner. 4. Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans. 5. Adheres to all hospital required Safety, Risk Management and Infection Control practices 6. Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs. 7. Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair. **Eligible for a $1,500 Sign On Bonus and Shift Differential** Qualifications: Preferred: High School Diploma No experience required
