Overview: At CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, patients are at the heart of our care. Our campus is designed to heal the body, mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services include a new pavilion featuring enhancements in heart and vascular care, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities: * $1,500 Sign on Bonus* What you'll do: * Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures. * Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner. * Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner. * Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans. * Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs. * Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair. As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) at CHI Health, you'll join a team of EVS techs who prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and visitors by ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for all. We provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep you safe and while you're providing that same level of safety to others.
