Leads the work of Environmental Services employees in the absence of the supervisor. Maintains the Hospital's environment to be clean and safe. Displays mission, vision, and values of the Hospital by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior towards patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers, and other employees.

* Capable of performing job responsibilities in the EVS Tech and EVS Tech Specialist classifications.
* Follow infection control/prevention practices and safety practices in all activities.
* Lead the work of others, scheduling, coordinating shift change activities, and assigning work to others.
* Cleaning floors; damp dusting furniture and fixtures; making and cleaning patient beds; cleaning and emptying ash urns and waste receptacles; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and lights; changing light bulbs.
* Perform non-routine floor care duties (buffing, shampooing, etc.); inspect cubicles, and replace curtains.
* Check and stock soap and paper supplies; haul trash; move furniture; and use various carts, products, and cleaning equipment.
* Requires leadership responsibilities and ability to team build and motivate employees.
* Requires a normal, responsive relationship indicating sensitivity to other people.
* Requires use of judgment making decisions adherent to standards.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous healthcare experience preferred.
* Required Licensure and Certifications N/A
* Requires a display of personal attitude, courtesy, and appearance for others to look favorably on the institution (much contact with public).
* Requires understanding of either verbal or written communications and instructions. Must be able to interpret written warnings as posted on doorways and chemicals.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
