				Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an environmental scientist with 0-3 years of experience to perform geologic, geophysical, and environmental projects. Take responsible charge for collecting field data and samples, interpreting data, performing geophysical surveys, and preparing technical reports. Work with a team of environmental professionals including professional geologists, LSRPs, professional engineers, and environmental scientists. We are looking for an employee to work out of our Mt. Laurel, NJ, Lehigh Valley, PA, or Philadelphia, PA office. This role is flexible with a hybrid schedule.

The position will involve conducting primarily geophysical surveying and hydrogeologic assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, environmental due dilligence, and technical report preparation. Daily activities may include site reconnaissance, field data collection, oversight of soil boring exploration, collection of soil and groundwater samples, post-processing analyses, and report preparation. This position is expected to have an initial focus on 80%+ field work for training and then 60% - 40% balance between field and office work which will vary based on project needs. The ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in geology but can be earth science, environmental science, or environmental engineering if there is emphasis on geologic sciences.

Responsibilities:

* Conducting geophysical surveying and geologic assessments investigations related to environmental and geologic evaluations particularly in NJ, NY, PA, DE and MD - but not limited to only these states. Must be willing to travel and be away from home occasionally during the work week. 
* Interpreting regulations and guidance documents Supervising and documenting field studies.
* Performing geophysical surveying and analysis of data.
* Conducting hydrogeologic evaluations (soil exploration, well installation, aquifer testing etc.) 
* Collecting and managing environmental samples.
* Interpreting and compilation of field and laboratory data.
* Conduct and analyze aquifer testing.Perform post-processing analyses of field data.
* Perform geologic sampling and logging. of data.
* Coordination and oversight of subcontractors.
* Interacting with state and federal regulators. Calibrating, operating, and maintaining field equipment.
* Conducting aquifer testing.Draft maps using AutoCad (preferred) or GIS.

Qualifications:

* 0 -3 years of environmental or geologic consulting experience.
* BS in Geology (preferred), Earth Science, Environmental Science or Environmental/Civil Engineering. Geologist-In-Training Certification, a plus.
* OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training with annual 8-hour refreshers.
* OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training.
* Familiarity with NJ, NY and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents and forms.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD (a plus).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Self-starter and team player.
* Moderate travel (typically 1 to 2 5 hours per dayweek, on average).
* Occasional long-distance travel and overnight stays.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
* Willingness to absorb on-the-job training, which CED will provide in full, for items related to geophysical surveying, hydrogeologic testing, and environmental sampling.
