What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a motivated Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our dams & hydraulics team in Salt Lake City, UT.

What you'll be challenged to do:
In this role, you will contribute to the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of critical water conveyance infrastructure, including dams, spillways, levees, and culverts. You will assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, calculations, and stability analyses to support the successful execution of these projects.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Assist in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of water conveyance structures like dams, spillways, levees, and culverts.
* Performs hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for civil and hydraulic structures.
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and plan details for engineering projects.
* Participate in field reconnaissance and collect field data, including performing field tests and measurements.
* Support proposal teams and regularly interface with clients to deliver project outcomes.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
* 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water resources, hydraulics, or structural engineering.
* Basic understanding and demonstrated interest in hydraulic and hydrologic design principles.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
What we prefer you bring:
* Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
* Experience with CADD and GIS software.
* Familiarity with common civil and hydraulic engineering software tools.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
