Responsibilities:
As GFT continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to support our Buildings & Places group in our Fife, WA office.

What you will be challenged to do:
The Entry Level Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design and modeling of building and site power and lighting systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role involves performing lighting calculations, selecting and specifying equipment, and using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to develop design documentation. The engineer will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct site visits, and assist in resolving design and construction issues.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Design and model building and site power and lighting systems.
* Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.
* Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.
* Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
* Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
* Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
* Assist project managers to troubleshoot design and construction challenges.
* Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.
* Perform site visits and write field reports.
* Calculate and analyze electrical loads.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
* 0-3 years of experience with electrical design for buildings, including power distribution, lighting systems.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
What we prefer you bring:
* Prior experience or familiarity with the A/E/C industry.
* Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD.
Compensation:
The Salary range for this position is $63,000-$95,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
