				Responsibilities:

GFT is seeking a Entry Level Transmission Line Drafter (Civil/Structural) to join our Power Team in Pittsburgh, PA! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Pittsburgh, PA office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As an Entry Level Transmission Drafter, you will support electric utility and power transmission line projects and clients. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our experienced team in at the following location: Pittsburgh, PA. 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 
* Provide drafting support to transmission line engineers and senior drafters/designers
* Prepare and/Develop construction packages
* Develop plan and profile drawings utilizing exports from PLS-CADD software
* Develop structure detail and assembly drawings.  
* Develop loading drawings referencing loading calculations from engineers and standard structure details
* Develop structure reinforcement and modification details
* Requires attention to detail and ability to learn and implement client drafting standard

Qualifications:

What you will bring to our firm: 

* 0-2 years of Drafting Experience
* Experience with general arrangements, structure details/reinforcements and assemblies 
* Fluent in AutoCAD.

 What we prefer you bring:  

* Microstation experience preferred but not required.
* Experience with PLS-CADD software is preferred but not required. 
* Experience with plan and profiles and loading drawings preferred but not required. 
* Knowledge of and experience with standard transmission assemblies preferred but not required. 

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
