				Responsibilities:

As GFT continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an Entry Level Bridge Engineer to support our team in our Mechanicsburg, PA office. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum 3 days of onsite office attendance.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As an Entry Level Bridge Engineer, you will perform bridge calculations, designs, modeling, quantity take offs, and plan preparation. In the capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Provide 3D modelling, design, and drafting support for transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, utility vaults, noise abatement walls, sign structures, ITS structures, etc.
* Perform quantity calculations and develop cost estimates.
* Assist in the development of construction contract documents and review construction documents such as shop and working drawings.
* Coordinate work activities with other disciplines.
* Review inspection reports and perform bridge load ratings.

Qualifications:

What you'll bring to our firm: 

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Structures.
* 0-2 years of experience in bridge design and/or detailing.
* Familiarity with plan development with CADD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
* Knowledge of geometry, design manuals, and design guidelines.
* Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and produce quality work as part of a design team.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.

What we prefer you bring: 

* Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
* Prior experience with structural design software such as: Openbridge, CSIBridge, or STAAD.
* Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Standards.

Compensation:

The range for this position is salary range is $70,000-$85,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
