Job Summary:

The Enterprise Clinical Specialist (ECS) influences patient outcomes and promotes evidence-based clinical care by applying specialty knowledge and expert clinical practice across the client, nurse, and system spheres of influence. The ECS models clinical expertise in a specialty area and leads system wide initiatives which continuously improve outcomes at the patient, nursing practice, and organizational level.

The ECS leads the Enterprise Specialty Educator team, if applicable, in the design, implementation and evaluation of professional development programs as well as the creation or revision of meaningful policies, procedures and workflows. Supports advancement of the specialty through support of program development, applications to centers of excellence or other partnerships that enhance the scope and opportunities for Centura Health nurses and patients. The ECS supports projects, initiatives and research that contribute to the body of knowledge and provide data informed decision-making opportunities. May be required to deploy to sites based on initiatives or programs as needed. This position reports centrally at the enterprise level to the Enterprise Director for Clinical Education with a matrix reporting relationship to the service line.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
-Three years progressive nursing leadership, project management or staff development experience required.
-Two years clinical nursing experience in NICU area preferred.

-NRP experience preferred.

Education requirements:
-BSN required if Master's degree is not in nursing
-Master's Degree required in Nursing, Education, or other related graduate field of study

License/Certifications Requirements:
-CO RN or Compact RN license to practice in CO
-Nursing Specialty Certification-required to sit within 6 months; achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to role

Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

Position will work virtually, but must be available M-F to deploy to facilities as needed. In person meetings and workgroups will be expected. Travel anticipated up to 40% of the time
