About Us: Our Academy provides international enrichment programs for Chinese K-6 local and international students. They are designed to improve students' language skills, thinking skills, problem solving abilities and knowledge of global culture. We offer guided independent reading programs to students between the ages of 5-12. We promote independence with our extensive library program consisting of over 5,000 audiobooks and regular books, and complement this behavior with specialized literature and writing classes. Our programs will help the students become independent English reader and master English as a lifetime language skill, enabling them to enter the best high schools and universities later in the USA and elsewhere. About Shenzhen City: Shenzhen has sprung up on the border with Hong Kong almost literally overnight. What was fields and forests just twenty years ago has become one of the most vibrant young cities in mainland China. One of the fastest growing cities in the world, Shenzhen has become the heart of foreign direct investment in China with a thriving tech industry and home to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Because of it's tropical climate, proximity to Hong Kong and promise of economic opportunity, Shenzhen has become one of the most popular destinations for expats to live and work. Job Description: Responsibilities: -Teach Core Literature, Reading and Writing Courses -You should ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end, as scheduled. -Must work on Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm. -Choose 3 days from Monday-Friday to work at 11am-8pm. -Teaching hours: 20-25 hours/week -Office hours: 10-15 hours/week -Must be able to commit to a one-year contract Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required - Education and English preferred - Over 2 years of teaching experience - Native English speaker or equivalent English proficiency - Age 24-55 - Clean criminal record - Excellent physical and mental health - Applicants already in China will be short-listed Wage package: - 14,000-17,000 RMB per month depending on experience - Housing assistance - Visa sponsorship - Health insurance - 6 days paid vacation days per year, plus Chinese national holidays - Round-trip international flight reimbursement of 8,000RMB - Discretional Bonus at the end of the contract depending on performance How to apply: If you are interested in applying for this position, we kindly request you prepare the following materials: Your resume/CV A recent photograph Scan copy of your passport information page Scan copies of your degree and TEFL/TESOL certificates Your current location and preferred start date Your Skype ID Due to the volume of applications received, please understand it may not be possible for the company to contact each candidate individually.
