This role is responsible for building and leading a cross disciplinary engineering team that designs, develops, delivers, and sustains custom hardware and software used across advanced aerospace and defense test and measurement systems, as well as standalone offerings.
The SCCI team will centrally own custom solutions and reusable platforms such as switch matrices, calibration modules, RF signal conditioning assemblies, PCAs, and associated firmware / software / FPGA programming, enabling greater reuse, quality, scalability, and faster system delivery.
Responsibilities:
Technical & Platform Leadership
* Lead HW, RF, firmware, and software design to meet customer and system requirements, while optimizing for reuse, performance, and integration
* Lead team to establish technical requirements, architectures, interfaces, and test strategy
* Define and own multi‑year platform roadmaps for custom components and subassemblies
* Ensure custom solutions and platforms meet requirements for measurement accuracy, reliability, scalability, cybersecurity, safety, regulatory, and export control
Execution & Delivery
* Drive design, development, qualification, and release of SCCI custom solutions and platforms
* Ensure predictable, on‑time delivery aligned with ADCS system programs, customers, and business needs
* Balance near‑term program support with long‑term platform health
* Reduce custom rework by promoting modularity and reuse across programs

Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Act as the primary interface between CC&S and:
* Program / Project Management, Engineering (Systems, Software, Mechanical), Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality
* Own priorities and requirements for manufacturing operations, partnering closely with manufacturing management
* Establish a clear producer-consumer relationship with System and Software Engineering
* Support solution integration with robust documentation, interfaces, and engineering support
Business, Quality & Lifecycle Ownership
* Drive solution delivery, operating within a cost‑disciplined model, to meet revenue and gross margin goals
* Reduce solution‑level NRE through reuse and standardization
* Enable monetization of standalone component and instrument offerings
* Own quality metrics, sustaining engineering, and obsolescence management for SCCI instruments and components
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction across SCCI platforms
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
* 8+ years of engineering experience in hardware, RF, FPGA, firmware, and/or software development
