Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Engineering Designer II for its growing Traffic Planning team in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities:
* Acquire knowledge and develop essential skills in a specific practice area.
* Apply learned techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
* Demonstrate the ability to prepare low-level complexity general engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
* Assist with other project-related tasks such as permit applications, material testing, drawings, and CAD work.
* Exercises judgment on work details and works under direct supervision on all aspects of assigned tasks.
* Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
Typical projects include the following elements:
* Traffic Impact Studies.
* DOT Access Permitting.
* Parking Studies.
* Traffic Signal Design.
* Traffic Calming Design.
* Roadway Design.
* Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Design.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
* 2-5+ years of experience in Traffic Planning and/or Traffic Engineering/Signal Design.
* Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred or able to obtain in first 6 months of hire.
* Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation experience is a plus.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work on multiple tasks at once.
* Must thrive in a team setting and have a great attitude.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English to comprehend written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
