Overview: Engineering Administrative Intern supports the Engineering Leadership Team in administrative, data management, document control, and process improvement activities. This role provides hands-on experience in engineering operations, digital workflow optimization, SharePoint document management, and responsible use of AI tools to enhance productivity and reporting. This position requires regular on-site presence Responsibilities: * Support engineering leadership with administrative coordination and operational tracking. * Assist with office relocation logistics, asset tracking, and inventory documentation. * Compile and maintain engineering performance metrics and dashboards using Excel or Smartsheet. * Track capital expenditures and engineering assets. * Organize, edit, and publish engineering procedures and work instructions within SharePoint. * Support document control processes including version tracking and structured file management. * Utilize AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT-type platforms) to improve documentation, summarize information, and streamline workflows. * Help improve cross-functional processes between Engineering and other departments. * Follow all company safety policies. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education * Associate's degree completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (preferred 1st-2nd year completed) in Business, Engineering, Communications, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field. Skills * Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Ability to analyze and manage data in Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, basic charts). * Familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems preferred. * Interest in AI-enabled productivity tools and digital workflow improvement. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Highly organized and detail-oriented.
