Windstar Cruises is seeking a driven and engaged student to join our Technical Operations Team as an intern at our Corporate Office in Doral, Florida! The Energy Efficiency Intern at Windstar Cruises will have an opportunity to engage with Windstar team members and leaders across Fleet Operations.  This role will have a keen focus on data analytics related to fuel consumption and energy performance of the seven vessels in the Windstar Fleet, supporting the Technical Operations team.
The Energy Efficiency Intern will have an opportunity to become an integral part of Fleet Operations activities including reporting, analytics, supporting strategic and sustainability initiatives, and maintaining compliance with maritime regulatory requirements.
This internship will be based in Windstar Cruises' Corporate Offices in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities:
* Process and record voyage fuel consumption data.
* Create and maintain vessel energy performance reports, including fuel consumption and water consumption and production trends.
* Support annual fuel consumption regulatory reporting for International Maritime Organization Data Collection System and European Union Monitoring, Reporting and Verification.
* Support development of short- and long-term data-driven energy efficiency strategy.
* Monitor and validate performance of Energy Efficiency Capital Projects.
* Support Management by preparing business cases for energy conservation projects, including investment returns and impacts on regulatory requirements.
* Communicate with Senior Shipboard Officers and Shoreside Senior Leadership teams.
* Collaborate and participate in departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
* Industrial Engineering or Data Science and Analytics major with at least 2 years of course work completed
* Advanced Excel (formulas), Smartsheet, PowerPoint preferred
* Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
