Overview:
St. Luke's Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join our Endoscopy Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or healthcare support professionals looking to grow into a more technical and procedure-focused clinical support role.
In this position, you'll support patients and providers during endoscopic procedures, learn advanced equipment handling, and play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient care delivery in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

What You Can Expect
Assist with direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopy procedures.
Set up, clean, and maintain endoscopic equipment following safety protocols.
Flexible weekday shifts, typically 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, with daily variation based on patient volume.
Participate in rotating on-call coverage: 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM weekdays and 24-hour weekend call, divided among a team of 9-10 technicians.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 0 years of relevant experience
Certifications: Must hold one of the following:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Idaho EMT-Basic
Additional Requirement: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Responsibilities:
The Endoscopy Technician 1 is responsible for identifying and securing instrumentation and equipment needed for endoscopy procedures as well as assisting with that procedure.
* Assesses and anticipates the needs for a specific case to include (but not limited to) setting up carts prior to procedure, opening procedure room, maintaining integrity of supplies and equipment.
* Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
* Assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
* Performs care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Re-processors and GI Endoscopes, including high-level disinfection. Keep service and repair logs.
* Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and other medical supplies.
* Performs inventory and re-stock supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience: 0 years of relevant experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
