Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse will assume the responsibility of preparing patients for and assisting physicians with all endoscopic procedures and associated therapeutic modalities. Provides appropriate patient care according to the age of the patient specifically adolescent adult and geriatric. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality as per Administrative Policy.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

* BLS (AHA required)
* Must be Certified Nursing Assistant
* Medical terminology
* Previous Endoscopy Tech experience
* Three (3) years or more on a Med/Surg unit or equivalent
* Experienced medical assistant or certified nursing assistant
* HSD/GED OR 2 years equivalent work experience
* Ability to do multitasking and prioritize supplies and equipment in relationship to types of procedures and patients
* Must be able to read write and speak English
