We're hiring an Employee Relations Manager to Live. Work. Explore. at the south rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Manager provides advice and consultation to our operation leaders on a variety of employee relations issues.  This role provides hands-on, end-to-end support to department leaders and managers to effectively manage and resolve employee relations issues, including performance management, corrective actions and terminations, complaints and conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and critical incident response.  This role promotes equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal employment laws. This role may also contribute to various HR initiatives and programs.

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Season Dates:July or August 2025
Pay: $62,000.00 + DOE
Housing: A private 2-bedroom house for $222 month, payroll-deducted, employee is responsible for utilities

Responsibilities:

* Serves as primary contact with the department leaders and managers for employee relations advice and guidance.
* Provides front-line support in the prevention, identification, investigation, and resolution of employee relations issues.
* Resolves employee complaints and facilitates conflict resolution between team members to promote a positive, safe and compliant work environment. 
* Conducts effective, thorough and objective workplace investigations.
* Prepares investigative reports to support findings, recommends remedial measures if appropriate, and implements them in partnership with HR and management.

* Works with department leaders and managers to prepare appropriate performance documentation such as coaching/ counseling, corrective actions, and terminations.
* Partners with Employee Residence Manager to address housing violations.
* Responsible for reviewing and following up on Incident Reports addressing off-duty conduct issues.
* Ensures consistent application of company policies, practice and procedures, work rules, corrective action history, relevant laws, and best practices.

* Coordinates with Risk Management department on escalated workers' compensation claims on leave, reasonable accommodation, and termination issues.

* Maintains accurate, timely, and required documentation of employee relations activities.
* Develop and track HR/ER metrics, analyzes data, and trends, provides insight, and makes recommendations.
* Engages in strategy to design and help implement proactive programs to help minimize employee relations risk.

* Contributes to the ongoing improvement of our HR operations, making them more efficient and responsive to our employees' needs, ensuring adherence to best practice and relevant legislation.
* Assists with project management on a variety of HR process improvement initiatives and supervisory training programs.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
* Other job-related responsibilities and projects as requested.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and Talent Management Systems.
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
* 4 years of employee relations experience.
* 2+ years of experience conducting workplace investigations.
* PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

Physical Requirements include:

* Regularly required to sit and work on a computer. 
* Occasionally required to stand. 
* Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
