Responsibilities:

Dignity Health Medical Group has a need for a EP Advanced Practitioner in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ).

* Collaborate closely with the Electrophysiologist.
* Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
* Educate patients and their families about the details of heart procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
* Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up.
* Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures,  addressing any complications or concerns as they arise.
* Provide ongoing patient education on  medication management and lifestyle modifications to support long-term heart health.
* Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

PA Requirements:

* Degree as a Physician Assistant
* Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
* Background in pre-med preferred
* Minimum 3 years orthopedic PA experience, preferably in an acute setting. 
* Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
* Valid DEA registration.
* Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff

NP Requirements: 

* Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
* Compact state or Arizona RN license
* Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license
* Surgical First Assist certification
* Minimum of 3 years orthopedic NP experience, preferably in an acute setting. 
* Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.)  NP-AANP,  c.)  NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
* Valid DEA registration
* Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
