Overview: Electro-Mechanical Technician Vitrek LLC Lockport, IL 60441 What You'll Do: * Solder SMT and/or through hole components to boards. * Perform basic and/or advanced, standardized and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly including box builds. * Perform Wire/Cable/Harness assembly. * Inspect Electrical and/or Mechanical assemblies, Chassis, Cables, Harnesses for defects. * May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections, pulling kits. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What You'll Need: * Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification. * Must be able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders. * Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and small power tools. * Ability to work OT on an as-needed basis to meet company goals. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures. * Must possess solid judgement and decision-making skills. * Must be well organized and be able to multitask. * Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in written form. * Ability to work well with others and must be a conscientious and cooperative team player. * Ability to meet quality expectations and follow safety guidelines. What You'll Bring: * High school diploma, GED, and/or technical diploma, and 3+ years' equivalent assembly experience, and/or military technical training. Physical Requirements: * Ability to do repetitive operations. * Excellent eye-hand coordination. * Excellent manual dexterity. * Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand for long periods.
